Spam beautiful Spam!
Well I don't mind the SPAM Oven Roast Turkey. Quite edible actually which is not bad for canned meat. Marketed with an indefinite lifespan, but will lose flavour after 3 years.
Might load up on some. Reasonably cheap for what it is, don't want to know too much about how they make it though. |
Re: Spam beautiful Spam!
I bought some on a sale last year but never have eaten any.
I'm sure one day it will be easier to crack it open and eat than it will be to sit out in the woods and try to shoot one. |
Re: Spam beautiful Spam!
Growing up as a kid I loved spam -
Spam with pineapple, Spam on toast with asparagus and cheese, and spam with mozzarella and tomato sauce. spam spam spam! |

Spam fan here. Cube a can, mix with cubed potato's, invent a sauce to mix in or a gravy substitute.

Re: Spam beautiful Spam!
since Spam is made from body parts like pigs' lips ... if you put lipstick on your Spam - how about that - You CAN put lipstick on a pig !

Re: Spam beautiful Spam!
I eat a can of spam about once every 2-3 months... just to remember what it tastes like... NOT BAD AT ALL!!! (though a bit salty).
And it's GOOD pig meat (HAM), not the junk urban legend says it's made of. I have enough stocked up to eat a can a day for over a year... just in case I need it. Don't believe the B.S. anti-SPAM propaganda. BUT... be aware: ONLY the "original" formula is the good stuff... the "lite," "turkey" and other variations contain all kinds of additives! Read the label! |

Re: Spam beautiful Spam!
I have never tasted spam. I have seen it and declined to sample it. This is atypical for me. I've yet to witness anyone actually enjoy eating it. It looks like pet food. By the sounds of this thread it is salty. I don't like salty. Some people love salty. Maybe spam is for those who like salty?

Re: Spam beautiful Spam!
We have quite a few cans of the original.
I like it fried on sourdough with mayo and mustard....bout once a month. |

:confused_ma: I like to eat spam with beer. Cut into thin slices, fry it brown all the way thru, put on a paper towel to drain the grease. A bit of melted cheese with some brown mustard, it's great! |
Re: Spam beautiful Spam!
we had spam and eggs last night with some fried potatoes and home made Buttermilk Biscuits

Re: Spam beautiful Spam!
The Aldi's version tastes exactly like real Spam. The nutrition info is identical, too.
Just don't purchase Treet. NASTY stuff. I made the mistake of stocking up on it when it was super cheap, without having tasted it. It'll be the last thin I open for food value. Course, it might be useful as bait... |

I don't do spam. That sh!t is gross and disgusting. Sorry but it's garbage. And that's about when I'll eat it... when I'm eating out of dumpsters.

My point was that spam is garbage... friggin garbage... and yes I am aware that there may come a time that garbage is a welcome meal. I can think of much much better things to stock however as food storage. |
Re: Spam beautiful Spam!
